Our big box store is always out of these and when they do have them they are like $2.50 a PAIR! Outrageous! These were a great value by the 100 bulk pack and they arrived in 2 days. I will be buying more of them on Amazon. Well made and they work great. A+++

CONCLUSION: These are well made pieces of hardware that perform well. The price makes them a bargain. I have purchased five or six Bolt Dropper products and they have all been top quality as far as I'm concerned. These tee-nuts continue that streak of best value hardware. FEATURES; These are the 10-24 size carbon steel zinc plated black coated Tee-nuts made by Bolt Dropper. Although I like the stainless steel variety better, these work just as well without the same level of rust resistance. If used indoors, that will not even be a consideration. They come in a plastic bag. I received the full count of 100 - no shortchanging. They were uniform in size and shape - good quality control. These have three prongs, not four. It did not affect their ability to hold in place. The black coating is attractive and evenly applied - between a semi- and full gloss finish. TESTING: There are no photos of the testing. My bolts threaded smoothly into the nuts. I tried these in solid softwood and plywood. With the correct sized hole, they easily hammered to the surface. These are not designed to be hammered flush with the wood and you will probably ruin your project if you do. If you want them flush, first make a counterbore. The prongs did not bend and they really dug into the wood. I had to use a cold chisel to cut away some wood and then pry out the nut. I saw that the prongs had splinters of wood still clinched against the threaded shaft. I then did the same with the plywood. The nuts did not come loose, twist, or push out under tightening stress. When I knocked the nut out of the plywood, except for some scuffed paint on the surface where the hammer struck, it looked unused. I didn't have any MDF or particle board to test with, so there is no opinion with respect to those materials.
