Does it work for glass top stoves?

Although I have not used it on a glass stove top, I have used it on my interior oven door which is glass and it cleaned it beautifully

How long after using it is it safe to use the oven ? Do you have to turn on the oven first ? And let the chemicals evaporate ?

I never needed to use this product inside the oven, only for the metal grades on the stovetop. I might imagine turning the oven on with the doors closed for 5 minutes, then opening the door with very good ventilation for 10 minutes before cooking anything. I've recently found an Easy-Off degreaser that has worked well without any harsh chemical vapor.

Can this be used on cast iron grates on my stovetop?

It's a very very string grease remover. Not sure if it will take the finish off the grates. I would NOT recommend it

Can I use this on my stove cooking surface around burners?

Yes, I did and it didn't damage the stove surface.
