GPIO doesn't have 5v
It would work with 5v, however where did you see gpio with 5v? Raspberry pi gpio has 3.3v as an operational voltage

Useless
Not working with esp32 5v or 3.3v. On 5v relay switch on but never turn off from gpio pin output. On 3.3v only green led turn on and off but relay doesn't actually turn on.
