My skin is normal, not oily. Would this be drying?

I am another long-time user, since the early 1960’s. Put on a cotton square[s] and clean your face til the cotton is no longer dirty after applying. I have always followed up with a good quality moisturizer. Fearing it might be too harsh [as critics say] many years ago I changed to more traditional cleansers. After a while my pores started getting larger which made my skin look older. So I went back to 10-0-6, or anything similar I could find when it disappeared from the market. So, Good Cleanser 10-0-6 + Good Moisturizer [which many users claim is not necessary] = well cared for skin.

I've read in the reviews to use this more as an astringent. What kind of cleanser would recommend to use before using this product as the follow-up?

I've used this product as a cleanser to remove make-up since the early 1960's, except during the years when they quit making it.

Is this the original formula that i have used since 1966?

It feels like the original formula. The bottle is different. Use it every day since I was a teen! I remember the big gallon bottles we could buy at Penny's! Good old days! People always ask me what I use? I tell them ten o six. 70 and still going strong!

When I was a teenager, my mom worked for JC Penny in the cosmetic department. She would get the original 10.0.6 cleanser for me. It's changed to this product and still works for me to keep my face oil in check. Glad I can still get this; a lot of places have stopped carrying it. I've been using for about 50 years.
