**Q: what is the difference between java red and java green box?**
A: Green is slightly less strength and brighter, slightly more buzz when broken in. Non filed reed 

Red is slightly warmer, harder strength. This reed is filed. 

Been playing 28 years. I use the green Javas, the #2 strength on a arb 6 (85 tip).
