Totally awesome product.

I have been using this mic for the last 9 months. I bought this mic because I had an online exam in which headphones with a mic were not allowed. only an external mic was allowed for a better voice. Due to this, I ordered this JBL mic which is having good price. The voice quality is very clear with no background noise. I'll suggest this mic if you are giving exams, interviews, etc from home where headphones/earphones with a mic are not allowed. You can use your internal speaker of pc or laptop to hear and this external mic to talk.

For laptop or desktop it can be said that it may be useful but for mobile user please keep yourself away from this and for laptop use its use full but sound quality not a fantastic but its ok.. and also there is no refund process if any bad product comes mistakenly. And also one thing i should highlight that the process of packaging of the product is so worst that seeing this the inner wish of using the product was semi classically dead ... So this is the review. Overall not good . But ok for middle class users.

'Caution' before buying this product - JBS - CSLM 20B. This product is useless in a practical recording scenario. The JBS - CSLM 20B turned out to be one a MONO mic. But for some reason this JBL device comes with a TRRS - 4 pole jack.. which is actually for a stereo (L+R) earphones plus mic mono; as you would see in all earphones with mic, Two mistakes made by JBL — (1) Does not have an earphone like its namesake CSLM20 (2) Instead of providing a Mono TS jack, JBL gives aTRRS 4 pole jack which is NOT suitable for using on a mobile phone . This product is useless in a practical recording scenario where (1) you need to hear a backing track to sing/play along or (2) monitor the recording on a earphone or (3) listen to the recorded voice or track. You cannot do any of these. Then what is the use of this product? Do not buy. Scenario 1 - The TRRS - 4 pole jack, when inserted into the mobile phone, cuts OFF the phone’s speakers. The CSLM20B does NOT have an earphone. You can ONLY record. After recording, to listen to the recorded track, you have to pull out the jack to enable the phone speaker for listening to the play back. What did the JBL guys think when designing this product? Would anyone want to PUT IN the TRRS jack to record and PULL OUT the jack to listen? Each and every time? What a shame. Scenario 2 - can you use a splitter cable with TRRS 4 pole jack to the smartphone and separate the mic and earphone OUT? NO Sir, you cannot use this method either. Because, the splitter cable has male TRRS (phone end) to fem TS (Mic) +TRS (earphone). If you insert the CSLM 20B’s TRRS 4 pole into the splitter’s TS Mono MIC IN.. the contacts do not match. The MIC will never get activated. Anyone in the music equipment industry would know the basic / fundamental aspect. Mic should have a mono TS jack Earphone should have a stereo TRS jack Earphone with mic should have TRRS jack [By mistake, I thought the CSLM20B also has a earphone just like its namesake CSLM20. Extra feature was a battery (suffix-B). Alas.. JBL added a battery and cut off the ear (phone)] So what do you do with this CSLN20B. Throw it into the trash can. Along with the battery, Mr. JBL — are you listening?

Product is very good

Sound quality is pretty good,I have ordered this product for mobile singing applications,I can say that noise cancellation is working partially well because I have noticed that while singing and recording the mic is capturing our breath noise too, so after recording we can clearly listen our breath along with our song, this is irritating, other than that it won't capture any noise from our surroundings so I can say that this product is partially good, voice clarity and build quality is pretty good, so I am giving the rating 4 Stars. If you can rectify the issue which I have mentioned earlier then I could give 5 stars.
