Good quality for the price
Not a knife expert but this is just what I was looking for. Didn’t want a knife that I had to grab blade with finger nail to open. Open assist works smartly and opens right up. Seems to be fairly sturdy and was plenty sharp. I use mostly to cut tape on boxes and open mail and keep in pocket if needed. Small enough to not be a burden in pocket. Wasn’t looking to spend hundreds of dollars on a fancy knife I’d never use.

1+ Year Review of Stout EDC
I purchased this knife based on experience with other CRKT products, and because of the blade profile. This knife lived up to my hopes and immediately became my every day carry knife. I will refrain from specs as you can find them elsewhere, and will instead just explain why I love this tool. Form Factor: This knife is compact, but capable. It clips securely and comfortably deep in my front pocket. The blade profile is robust and built for utility, with a thick blade that narrows to a finer point. The cutting edge has a slight belly making it a versatile cutter, though the thick blade limits precision slicing of some foods like harder fruit (apples). Whether closed or open, I find this knife's aesthetic very pleasing. Function: As I said, this knife is designed more with utility in mind, but I have also used it to cut and slice food if needed. The finger stud requires minimal, but deliberate pressure to start it to the spring assisted opening threshold, which then pops the blade open quickly and securely. Once open, the liner lock engages securely and I have not experienced any instances of this knife opening or closing unintentionally. The lock can be easily and safely disengaged, and the blade closed with one hand, though doing so carelessly may get you cut if you keep this knife sharp. Common sense dictates that you close any folder using two hands anyway. After over a year of use, the blade is still firm with absolutely no loosening or side to side movement. Finally, I have always struggled to sharpen knives despite having one since I was ten. Some are easier to maintain than others, and the slight belly on this blade required some learning from mechallenge for me, though it was just a matter of technique and practice. That said, I have only had to sharpen this knife a few times since I got it fifteen months ago. In that time, I have used it mostly to open and break down cardboard boxes, in addition to a few other light carving/camp tasks. My opinion is that for the money, most users will not be disappointed of they choose to buy this knife.

Sophisticated Sticker
Great knife for the price. Well made and has a truly gentlemanly design. Decent size blade but not overly conspicuous. Probably wouldn’t bring it up a camping trip though.

Slice of life
I have bought three of these knives, I gifted two of them, one for my daughter and one for a friend for a retirement gift, they are very well made and work great. I use mine for lunch at work and for any other reason that pops up! Great buy you can’t beat the price and the quality is outstanding.

A spoon, why a spoon
I bought this to replace a Kershaw I've had for years. It's a good nimble edc knife. It has assisted opening and that feature is smooth and quick. The only problem was it came to me so dull, I've used sharper spoons. Once I sharpened it it seams to hold it's edge well.

Perfect EDC knife
Arrived properly sharpened, easily slicing paper smoothly. It's slim and the opening assist is works beautifully. The carry clip is tenacious, to the point of being perhaps a little too tight on thick pockets like jeans. It's thin enough to be comfortable even in tight pants. Lastly I like the way it looks.

Great edc knife
I'm a bit of a knife junky. Have a lot. Expensive, cheap. This one really stands out. It's very sharp & has held it edge. It's a good looking black out knife too. Easy assisted opening. I have about 5 knives that I go thru as my edc, but since receiving this one it's probably been in my pocket 75% of the time. Buy it.
