Most important upgrade to a SCT telescope.
Increases amount of light to reach eyepiece and brightness of image. I recommend it as the first upgrade to a 1 1/4" 2" capable telescope.

It screws directly to the NexStar 8SE telescope
In my opinion you need a 2 inch diagonal to take full advantage of the light gathering capabilities of the NexStar 8se telescope.
