Not only does it cut a perfect hole it cuts the slug in two pieces so it just falls out, instade of having to fight with it. the cutter housing turns on a bearing while pulling the cutting bit through the metal. We used it on Stainless steel with no problems. Make sure you have a good drill bit for metal, for the pilot hole, then use a step drillbit to get to the proper size for the threads to go through. When cutting bit does not slip and is very smooth.

Use the 3/4 inch (nominal size) and the Arlington grommets for fishing pipework and wiring through steel track and for new knockouts in the studs. A good solution if you're not looking to by the steel stud punch for 500+ dollars to do almost the same job. This kit also has a few different sizes so it can be useful for other projects.
