What can I do?** A: As of 5/2023, master lock says you are out of luck if one shows up and the preset code doesn’t open the lock. I ordered this lock - code doesn’t work (I have a few of these, it’s not operator error), called master lock. They say they can’t help. **Q: How many digits are in the combination?** A: 4 digits **Q: Can anyone confirm that the numbers do not spin if unlocked, but show the combination? This is a huge security flaw on job sites where it will be left** A: I DISAGREE with the two other posters. I just had one delivered yesterday (8/13/19) and am returning it because, among other problems, once it's unlocked, you CANNOT rotate the numbers unless you return the shackle to the locked position. If you leave the shackle open, the correct combination is there for anyone to see. **Q: Is it possible to get a replacement rubber cover for the lock? It was delivered with that part missing.** A: Don't bother. It'll fall off within days or hours. The rubber part holding it to the lock is very flimsy and flexible, so it won't stay on. You'd have to super glue it. Horrible design. And the lock can be defeated in 30 seconds WITHOUT any tools.
