My son had previously used this at a local kids play place to make stop animations. Many of the complaints have been addressed in the app updates and I was so happy for him to have one at home. This is one of his favorite toys and he loves making stories using stop animations. It was easy to set up on the iPad and with the recent updates it connects easily. The quality is fine for a kid and it’s a great tool to teach the fundamentals of stop animation and storytelling.

Now that I finally got the cam to work, it turned out to be a very nice , sharp cam. The flexable neck makes it possible to use it to read a printed page or it can be used as a web cam, it also says it can read bar codes. Some people have apparently tried to bend the cam were it connects to the neck, not a good idea, it's better to bend the neck away from the cam is a curve. I didn't know that the CAMERA app was used with this VIDEO cam. Now I know & so do you.

Teacher here. Love this EXCEPT when I have to move the goose neck to "zoom in" or "zoom out". It will stop working and give me a "HUE is not connected" error - then it takes me 5 minutes to get it to show my paper again. If you bump it it goes out. Any movement can 'disconnect' it and you have to unplug, replug, refresh, adjust and hope it comes back. I'm disappointed - it worked so well, now in year 2 it is finicky.

Light, portable, great picture! I did purchase one of these about two years ago and needed to repurchase due to me (or possibly a student) jamming the wires in the plug, but they’re so economical and great it honestly didn’t bother me. I like these far better than ELMO or LadyBug document cameras. The picture quality is far better and they are light so you can remove them from your desk to create more space.

It is not the absolute highest quality camera but for the money it works great. I'm very happy with it.

I bought this camera about 5 months ago. I liked everything about it, but today on a webinar the camera started freezing, getting lines across the screen and then just went out. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked fine for about another 10 minutes, then the same thing happened. The camera should not fail after 6 months of low use. I hoping this one is just defective and the company will allow me to trade it in. Then I would say good things about their customer service and the unit itself.

The image on the right is blurred, as evident in the attached pictures. Another customer has reported a same issue in the comments. I tried to troubleshoot with technical support at Hue but it was a long-drawn and tedious process just to prove to them that there's a defect with the product, despite sending them these screenshots, hence, decided to return it. Rather disappointing. I had given 3-stars are for Amazon.sg returns, hoping that it would be seamless as it has previously been on Amazon.com. However, even after 7 days of this order being returned according to the Amazon process, there's no sign of any updates from the local courier company or Amazon. I had to call Amazon today who apologised & promised to refund the amount back to my card. Thereafter, I received an email from them informing me that, "We are unable to process the refund request to the original payment method or change your refund to another credit card. However, we can issue a refund by sending a gift card to your Amazon.sg account." So, I'm back on the phone with Amazon customer care, to let them know that I do not want a "gift card", and would like the amount refunded back to my card instead. Not sure of the outcome but definitely not buying anything that ships from overseas on Amazon.sg. This is the second time an order with Amazon Singapore has failed.

My daughter is doing a Zoom class and was required to have this camera specially. It has been fantastic. It is easy to use, works well and seems to be very well made. We did have an issue and I contacted Hue directly. They were amazing to deal with and sorted out our issue quickly and to my complete satisfaction. I would highly recommend the camera and the company based on our experience.

Esta cámara me ha gustado mucho. Tiene multitud de usos. A continuación, os voy a poner una lista de 5 actividades que podéis hacer y más adelante os lo enseñaré alguna de ellas en fotos. 1- Proyectar un libro. 2- Enseñar a hacer apuntes a tus alumnos y alumnas. 3- Hacer un tutorial de una manualidad o de un dibujo. 4- Grabar tus clases para ponerlas en la plataforma del cole y así poder atender a los alumnos confinados. 5- Grabar la realización de ejercicios. Os la recomiendo.

Don’t buy this camera. It is awful. The software is unusable, the settings are hopeless and you just get a grainy video. Don’t be stupid and buy this. Get an InSwan instead. They are a little more expensive, but totally worth it.
