I got the clear color and there was no smell. They are very durable 2 in a package and made in Switzerland as it has Swiss written on the nipple. They had the clear ones and they had the pink ones.

I tried different pacifiers and my baby didn't like them, but she likes the medela ones and falls asleep with it in her mouth. I just got a size up (0-6 months) and she likes those too, they are slightly larger. She is used to Medela bottle nipples, so maybe that's why she likes the pacifiers. One more thing - use the provided sterilizing case for sterilization. The first time I used them, I boiled them directly in the water and the water gets inside the rubber part. You can easily squeeze it out, not a big deal. But if you use that case, no water gets inside.
