My three year old loves this toy! We are on our second one because he literally wore out the first one. So having said that, with extended use the tape on this can wear out. I think he just used it too often and the tab broke off and things got stuck. I think that it is good enough quality to invest in another one. Do note that it does make a loud noise when you reel it in. It doesn't bother me, but it may be annoying to some.

This tape measure is great for kids! Our little one has a fascination with tape measures so he is over the moon about this toy! A little noisy, but doesn't bother me. Seems sturdy! Larger than expected but in a good way

I absolutely loved this idea and my kids love being able to use a safe tape measure that fits their hands well. However, when you reel the tape back in it is literally THE LOUDEST TOY I have in my house. And I have a lot of loud toys. I wasn’t expecting the volume and it’s incredibly overwhelming and even scared my dog. So for a toy, I was hopeful to get a lot of use out of, I’m really bummed about the noise level. I usually love Learning Resources especially as a former classroom teacher, but I can’t imagine using this in a classroom space especially. 🫣

Depending on how your kid uses it, my rambunctious 4 yr old brings me it in 3months, 2year old still using his going on 6 months. I bought them to prevent them from hurting there fingers with dad auto retracting metal one Is a noisy toy

M'a femme a achetée ce mètre à ruban en joué pour notre fils qui est de qualité jolie ,mais lors de la réception du produit oops il est gros comme mètre à ruban ( la taille n'est pas comme les mètres à ruban que l'on peut trouver en boutique de bricolage il est 4 fois plus gros) .
