Works well when used as intended, or "adapted" for other usage
I used this device to cut circles from loose flexible foam sheets, so I had to design a holding system for the sheets. It worked well, and I cut several hundred accurate circles with it in short order. It's a nifty device, and can be used "off label" with a bit of "Yankee ingenuity" if you need to deviate from the manufacturer's intent!

Well, back to the drawing board on cutting foam circles.
The first circle I cut with this, I was very impressed. It was pretty easy, gave a smooth, clean cut, no problems at all. The next two cuts, I noticed it didn't want to go all the way through the foam, despite the foam only being 1/2" thick. The part that it did cut, though, was still very nice and smooth. On my next cut, the blade was suddenly ultra dull and just ripped through the foam, making a mess. I swapped blades, and for my next cut, when the cutter got nearly to the bottom, it seized up. Now I can't wind it back to starting position — the handle turns, but the inner part refuses to turn, so I'm left with a useless cutter and one good circle of foam. Not even close to being worth the price.

Great product
This was awesome! I needed something that was easy to use and gave me a variety of sizes. I used it for cutting dense foam for making high speed rc race cars 1/7 th scale. It worked great.

Probably the best tool you can get for the job, but it's not perfect
I've tried several tools/methods for cutting circles in foam core board. This is the best tool so far, but it's not perfect. Here is where it could use some improvement: 1. The centering pin wobbles, even though the cutting does not. So finding the exact circle center is a bit of an experiment. You'll probably end up with an error of a couple of mm. 2. The actual radius needs to be measured with a ruler/calipers as the scale on the unit is only approximate. 3. Although it has enough travel to cut 1/2" boards, it misses cutting the back paper by a fraction of a mm. In all fairness, they do claim it can cut up to 12.7mm (which is exactly 1/2") and the board I have measures 13.1mm, so it misses by 0.4mm. There is a way to make the blade go lower if you don't use the blade block, and thus able to cut through. However, it would be better if the offset was setup so that it could lower the blade a bit more than exactly 12.7mm.

It works well
This thing actually works really well - i was skeptical - using it for cutting dense foam material for cosplay making. I have some suggestions for how it can be even better. Cuts perfect round with straight cut - would like to be able to angle the blade and have graduated cut wider to narrower.

Worked great at first, now it doesn't
I bought this for a fairly large-scale craft project: I'm making advent calendars for six people, and so needed to cut 6 x 24 holes out of foam board. I received the cutter, put in the blade (a little difficult to get the blade holder to reattach, but got it) and started using the cutter. It worked really well for the first 2 boards (48 holes). Then it started catching at the edges of the circles. I replaced the blade - no difference, the edges were still jagged (see photo). I realized that the whole internal mechanism had somehow gotten a little wobbly, and even though I tightened everything as much as I could (and even took the whole assembly apart and put it back together, the wobble is still there. I'm giving the product three stars because it did work very well for a while, but now it's basically useless. I am going to return it and get another; I'll update this review once I've gotten the new one and used it to try and finish the project. BTW, I would not let younger children use this, and even tweens and younger teens should probably be supervised carefully. The cutting is perfectly safe, but after each circle you have to "rewind" the cutter, and there's no great way to do this. You have to stand the cutter on its side, which makes it liable to slip and the blade is right there.

The first and last circle cutter I will ever need to buy
I've gone through a couple other tools looking to cut perfect foam core circles. I promise you this one is it. I'm tossing my other tools in the trash. It was minimal assembly, has an easy to install blade and was simple to set the accurate size I needed. Most importantly it cut the most perfect circles quickly. I'm beyond pleased with this product and feel relieved I found it.

Very disappointing
This product did not work for me at all. I have very thin and very basic foam board that I was attempting to cut. The blade was not sharp enough to cut through the foam board and would just pull the board around. I tried multiple ways to keep the board stable while trying to cut and none of them worked and each time I tried to turn the blade it would move the board instead of cutting through. I returned this item as it didn't work even a little bit. I would not recommend.
