I have found it to be so. I have contorted it in several directions. Very pleased with the purchase.

Yes it is to a point. But it does bend and are flexible to do the job of threading the course beard hair well.

Can this be used in substitution for a crochet latch hook?

No , I use the crochet needle sold on here. This allows you to use a lot of beads at once and brad the hair. It worked good

It doesn't need instructions. It's just a larger version of a needle threader.
