Heater kept getting high limit error#2, then would stop, then after it cooled down a bit, would start up again. Tried removing the unitherm governor, and putting it in a container of hot water - but it wouldn't change. Replaced it and everything works well now. Took about 10 days to receive it though. (to Canada)

This is the magic product that fixes all raypak heaters whistling sounds. I balance my water religiously and still have to replace this part annually. It’s simple to install - just make sure the seal is right as it will get twisted and whistle like a SOB otherwise. You cannot clean this with an anti scale product to make it work longer. Crappy but easy fix for an otherwise pretty good heater. Next time buy a Hayward.

This was corroded shut and causing the heater to intermittently cut out. took less then 5 minutes to replace and now runs continuously. I did not initially realize I had a problem with the heater, it just took a long time to heat because it was cycling on and off due to low water flow thru the heat exchanger.
