There are many such pliers out there from places in asia that are very poorly made and basically useless. However
These pliers are the classic "gas pliers" style. There are many such pliers out there from places in asia that are very poorly made and basically useless. However. these pliers by Proto (made in USA) are much more useful due to the very high quality. Jaws are machined, gripping teeth are sharp and well-aligned. The handles have red plastic cushion grips. I have many specialty pliers in my tool box, but I reach for these most of the time. Can't be beat for the price!

TERRIBLE
Orderd a 8 inch and 6 inch. Both pliers had terrible machining on the jaws.Returned and the next ones i got were even worse.Unless Amazon is selling returned items that were faulty, which thay often do,i would be ashamed to be a American worker that did such a poor job of machining and a company offering USA made products.Save your money There are better pliers for less money.Obviously made in USA means nothing to Proto or its workers.

Not worth the Proto premium
Go find Wilde tools. They make the Proto pliers and they are cheaper.
