Don't think twice - BUY THIS
In just one day at the beach, the price has been justified. We got hours of fun. For smaller kids, the weight of the balls might be a bit much, but my niece who is 8 used this without any problems. For adults, the weight is of course a necessary feature as it's key to the playing dynamics.

Great - good weight for adults and kids to about 7 years old! Measurer is a bit basic, but it does the job!!

The poly-resin solidly built balls are excellent. This is the second set I purchased. My brother had a set of bocce balls that were soft rubber and much lighter which may be suitable for children under 12 but this set is top notch, nice colours and designs so you can play with teams of one, two, or four. The heavier weight is more true to the pro game. The included measuring device comes into play far more often than you would think. I recommend this set easily. Keep the cardboard form inside the carrying case for better support. The canvas carrying case is excellent as well. My brother's set with plastic weave was tearing apart in less than a year.
