It has the keyboard at the bottom of the screen. The kindle paperwhite was a later model **Q: Is this case rigid? I primarily need it to insure the screen cannot flex and crack.** A: Yes the case is rigid. Your Kindle will not flex. The case feels nice to hold also. **Q: Will this fit 1st generation kindle keyboard?** A: I do not believe so, but I'm not really knowledgeable. I have a Kindle w/wifi. I called the help desk @ 1 866 321 8851. **Q: Looking for case with built in light. Does this one have that?** A: No, it does not. You'll have to buy the light separate from the case. I bought the ikross black dual LED clip on light and it has worked great for me if that helps any with your search.
