The assortment of coarse, medium, and fine grades included in the pack made it easy to tackle everything from stripping old finishes to smoothing surfaces before painting. The pads are flexible enough to reach tricky spots, and the quality of the metal strands ensures effective cleaning without excessive damage. Cleaning power: 4.5/5 The steel wool pads effectively remove grime, old paint, and rust with minimal effort. The coarse grade is especially strong for heavy-duty cleaning, while the finer grades handle lighter tasks well. Shine: 4/5 The fine grade pads are excellent for giving surfaces a smooth, polished finish. While not producing a mirror-like shine, they do enhance the appearance of wood and metal noticeably. Quality: 4/5 The metal strands are uniform and durable, resisting breakage during use. The pads maintain their integrity even after several uses, though a bit more resilience would be appreciated. Size: 4/5 Each pad is a practical size for general use, fitting comfortably in hand and allowing access to corners. The 12-pad pack provides good value for multiple projects. Scratch removal: 4/5 The assortment allows for gradual scratch reduction from coarse to fine, effectively removing imperfections without overly damaging surfaces. Careful use prevents unwanted marks. Softness: 3.5/5 While the pads are abrasive by nature, the finer grades are reasonably gentle and suitable for delicate finishes. The coarse pads are understandably rougher, so caution is needed. Pros: - MADE IN USA - Versatile assortment for varied tasks - Flexible and easy to handle - Uniform, high-quality metal strands - Good value with 12 pads per pack - Effective for surface preparation and finishing Cons: - Could be more durable on heavy use - Fine grade not as soft as expected Overall, this steel wool set is a reliable choice for DIY enthusiasts and professionals needing an assortment of grades for cleaning, stripping, and polishing. ## Frequently Bought Together - Homax 33873211143 Steel Wool, 12 pad, Assorted Grades, Rhodes American - Homax 10120000 Steel Wool, 12 pad, Grade #0000, Rhodes American, Final Finish - HOMAX PRODUCTS TV713206 #0000 Steel Wool Pad (12 Pads) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/265670216-homax-12pk-steel-wool-pad-assorted](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/265670216-homax-12pk-steel-wool-pad-assorted) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
