This cream is great for working with oil paint and chalk pastels. It protects my hands helps paint or chalk dust wash off much easier. I have eczema and appreciate its protectionist.

OVERALL: As far as I can tell, Gloves in a Bottle lives up to everything they claim it does. It works great for me. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. MOISTURIZING: If you follow the instructions for this product (i.e. completely dry your hands before applying), it works wonders. My hands crack and bleed in winter, yet if I use Gloves in a Bottle, not only do I prevent the cracking, bleeding, and chapping, but I also get softer, smoother, healthier skin. One of my favourite things about Gloves in a Bottle is that it's not greasy - at all! I do a lot of crafts with paper, yarn, and fabric, and do not want grease stains on the finished projects. This shielding lotion not only shields my hands from environmental bombardments, but shields my projects from ruin. That is a win-win for me. Even if I didn't do crafts, I can't stand having greasy hands. So, to have dry, yet moisturized, hands within seconds of applying Gloves in a Bottle makes it a must-have for me. It's also really nice to not have to reapply it after every hand-washing (unless I use exfoliating soap). SCENT: There is little to no scent. I am extremely sensitive to scents, both man-made and natural. I cannot use most lotions because my breathing is affected, as well as breaking out in rashes. With Gloves in a Bottle, when I first squeeze a small amount (and you only need a small amount) onto my hand there is a faint smell. I've heard others describe it as almost a school-glue smell; I don't feel that's quite accurate, but it's the closest I can get in description. Upon rubbing it into my skin, the smell dissipates and is gone when dry. I love that I can touch my face right after using it without any allergic reaction. VALUE: Because this is one of the very few lotions I can actually use (and my preferred one) it is well worth the cost. When you take into consideration what most "good" lotions with healthful ingredients cost, it beats them for certain.

I am a nurse and handwashing to me is as important as breathing. The consequence of frequent handwashing is dry skin, dry cracking/splitting nails, and dry, splintering cuticles. I've used all kinds of lotions and methods over the years to combat these calamities (including Vaseline and sleeping in gloves!). THEN I found "Gloves in a Bottle". (Actually, my pharmacist recommended it). It is not greasy or tacky, is absorbed quickly and completely and dries in seconds. (Be sure it dries as that is where the REAL protection result is rooted). It may be pricey, but worth every. single. penny. The 2oz size can easily be carried in whatever bag you are taking with you. My skin is smoother, lines virtually disappear and I am in LOVE with this cream. Oh. And I use it on my feet too. I can't rave enough.
