Made in China. Disappointing for sure. Hopefully they move production to USA or at least to a more friendly trading partner! Love the boot!

Can they be used in snow?

Theyre NOT a snow shoe..they can get wet..But before you do that, put good weatherproofing oil. Leather is a porous material.

Is the top of boot narrow? I am looking for quality boot with easy access for someone with hip problems where he doesn't have to bend to zip/unzip.

the top of the boot is wide and plenty of room but you may need to unzip to be able to more easily slide your foot in.
