I think this is a great product for what you pay. I was able to get it on black friday sale and was extremely happy with it. The kids love it and the monster pins and bowling ball are really well down. You do need to have hardwood flooring or similar for it to work best, but its not bad on carpet either. It feels well made, well designed, and becomes more than just a bowling set for the kids since it has the monster design. They can become toys for stories or like a stuffed animal for them. The ball is a good little toy too. I bought this as a gift for a 1 year olds birthday. Melissa & Doug products are always the best quality and has a great way of adding fun and learning in a toy. The little monster pins are cute and have so much color and texture for her to feel. They are a little hard to set up at her age but that is ok because she is more interested in touching the pins. I am sure when she is a little older it will be a fun game for her to play! Setting the pins up will not only be fun but build those fine motor skills. I bought this Melissa & Doug Monster Bowling Set for our son for Christmas. This game is alot of fun for the whole family. These pins and ball aren't too big, but not too small. They are the perfect size, and not bulky at all. I love that it all came in a zippered bag! When we are finished playing, then we put back in the back for easy storage. Our son loves all of the funny faces, horns, and colors on each pin. The ball and pins are soft and fuzzy. We have no problem with the pins standing up on their own, but they are also easy for our son to knock down with the ball. We set the pins up at the end of the hallway, and we rolled the ball from the beginning of the hallway. I didn't have to worry about scratching up our hardwood floors. The game is quiet and safe, and I love that it helps teaching hand eye coordination. This is a great game to give as a gift or to buy for the family. I love any toy that encourages family interaction.

This toy is very cute, those little soft monster pint stand alone just fine (i think the craftsmanship are pretty well made). Though i wish these pints were a little bigger, when i make the purchase i really thought those pint will measure up to 8.75 inch, however, after i measure them myself, their size only come up to 6.5 inch maximum =-1 star. Even though they are a bit small, but they are still fun to play with, my 3 yr old nephew loves to play with these monster. He even went out shopping with 1 or 2 pints in his backpack, i think my money are well spend on this toy, and i highly recommend them to all young kid's parents.I agree that the ball that comes with the set don't work really well like one of the reviewer had mentioned (we end up picking up a ball just a little bigger from walmart for less then $2, and it works just fine).

What a fun toy for our 4 yr old and 2 yr old. We purchased this on sale last year before Christmas because we needed another present for our 2 yr old at the time to "balance out" the toys they would be receiving. This was one of the best purchases and continues to be one of the best purchases of the year. Being great quality as Melissa and Doug always are, our children have carried these bowling pins around the house many many times. They use them both as targets for bowling as well as dolls for playing with. They use them to fill up boxes, or just to carry. They are soft and brightly colored giving them something fun to play with year round and it doesn't stress out mom or dad because they are too big to be swallowed, too soft to do any damage to furniture/walls, and brightly colored so don't get lost in the grass or other places very easily. Great for toddler age kids and as seen from review great for other imaginative projects other than just bowling :)
