Wish it wasn’t the last one...

Couldn't wait for this book to come out but knew it was going to be the last in what has been the most fantastic series l have read, it had taken us all on a long journey which l didn't want to end but like everything it has to end somewhere. We watched Peggy keep so strong for her chicks with the support of Ron and carry on through the war with all the hardship it bought and we were with them every step of the way, it was so tough on all of them worrying about those fighting abroad but the British spirt kept them going l'm just so glad it had a happy ending for all of them. Was so sad for me to reach the end and knowing l won't be reading about these people l have come to know so well, Ellie wrote a piece at the end on what she thought the characters would get up to after the war had finished and perhaps that is what l will have to do but it won't be the same. Let's hope Ellie comes up with another great series just like Cliffhaven.

Have been reading the entire series and even have friends that are awaiting my finishing the volume, to pass it on. John Bate

I have loved this series since I discovered it a couple of years ago. Peggy Riley is a character I really took to and I was rooting for her all the time with all she had to do to keep the Boarding House and the family going during the war years. As much as I enjoyed it the time was right to finish it up. The stories of all the people were nicely tied up. It wasn't as exciting as the other books but a well written story just the same.
