Comparing them all to the Laney Cub 8 is like comparing apples and oranges because the Laney Cub 8 has two tubes and a superior speaker but no special effects. But, My favorite tone by far is the Laney Cub 8. It is like that vintage long lost Fender tone that is hard to find now a days.This amp is very clean, articulate, and sounds really amazing with a chimey but full sound. The amp has great tubes and a 8 inch Celestion Super 8 speaker which is an outstanding deal for the price. There are two switches tone and volume which go to 10. I always play on volume - 1 and tone - 1 and the sound is still very loud - filling up my whole apartment and spilling into the hallways. For gigs you can just hook this up to an 8 ohm cabinet and blast the socks off of people!I seriously recommend this product if you are practicing at home, doing small gigs, or making music in the studio.
