I picked up the Red Line 5W50 because I wanted something truly high‑quality for a performance‑oriented engine, and this oil absolutely delivers. You can tell right away that it’s not your average synthetic — the engine feels smoother, quieter, and more responsive, especially under load or higher RPMs. Cold starts are clean, and the oil pressure stays consistent even when the engine gets hot. What really stands out is how stable this oil is. Red Line is known for its ester‑based formula, and it shows — the oil doesn’t thin out or break down as quickly as cheaper synthetics. After a full interval, it still looked and smelled better than what I’m used to draining. If you run your vehicle hard, tow, or just want top‑tier protection, this stuff is worth the price. The only downside is exactly that — the price. It’s definitely more expensive than mainstream brands. But considering the protection, performance, and how well the engine runs on it, I see it as an investment rather than just another oil change. If you want one of the best 5W50 oils you can buy, this is it.

I will admit I was a user of Royal Purple for years until I tried Redline. Redline made my 02 chevy avalanche run smoother and quieter and might have even picked a couple of more miles per gallon since I changed to this oil. It's more expensive but I think it's worth it in the long run. I used to change my oil at every 3-4 k with royal purple. I am going to try every 5k with redline and see how it does. Awesome performance also out of my 5.3 vortec. Loving this oil so far!

Switched from Liqui Moli which was super noisy at startup. No more noise on cold start ups and runs butter smooth. Makes the butt dyno feels good. Overall a solid oil and would highly recommend. E92 M3
