Permanent restoration for plastic most times involves either clear coating it or new parts. Honestly the cheapest way to detail the plastic external parts of a vehicle without breaking the bank. **Q: will this restore the worn, oxidized black plastic spoiler on a Prius?Is it cover-up or real restoration?** A: When it rains, the black plastic on my 2005 element gets white streaks and lightens to almost grey. This stuff brings it black again. In full sun, it does require monthly application. For $10 a bottle, it's an easy fix to make the car look new again. **Q: will this protect the rubber trim around the windows from UV? I’m looking forward something to protect, not necessarily clean.** A: It restores and protects.
