What is the roller used for, what are some examples when it is needed, and what is the second tool use?

The roller is used to remove debries from the mat, just like those used to remove dirt in clothes. The second toold is to raise the material stuck in the mat

Hello, I did not buy this set. I bought the 5 piece set. They colors are different purple, pink, green and white. I got the brayer and the tweezers and the scissor and the mat cleaner all in one bunch. Plus the scraper. It was a great deal at the time. Give a check around and see if they still carry the 5 piece set if not look on ebay. Hope that helps you out.

Would this help to apply laminating sheets over a print and cut paper? I usually use the scraper but have found that it leaves scratches.

Yes, this will help smooth vinyl and or iron on your mat
