**Q: Would this hammer be good for metal working? I.e. forming hot metal into the desired shape?**
A: Do not know how much weight you need to form metal.  I originally got this to crush glass.  It is a good little sledge hammer, but not heavy enough to really break thick bottles.  I got a heavier one for that.

A: This sledgehammer is made in Mexico.

**Q: Is it a 6 lbs or 4 lbs**
A: The head is 4 pounds. Total weight of the hammer is 5 pounds.
