OVERALL: Great value for the money. It’s much cheaper than a lot of other options, doesn’t have any weird added ingredients, has an unbeatable protein ratio, and is very versatile. FLAVOR: It’s plain, unflavored bone broth, so no, the taste isn’t great! But I don’t mind because I use this is for nutrition, not pleasure. It’s tolerable by itself, but it also easily blends with other liquids or ingredients, so you can hide the taste in something else if you feel you need to. I even stir it into fibrous vegetable smoothies without any trouble. MIXABILITY: I’ve tried flavored bone broth proteins from other brands in the past, and they were so clumpy and messy that half the powder stuck to whatever I was mixing it in and it was a pain to clean up afterward. However, this plain bone broth powder will dissolve into liquids with just a couple good shakes in a lidded container (you don’t even need a blender ball) and it rinses out really easily. I even thrown it in the blender and then refrigerate it for a couple days so it’s ready to grab when I need a quick protein boost, and it still doesn’t clump up - I just give it a little swirl or shake to release the tiny bit of settlement from the bottom and it’s good to go. TEXTURE: When well-mixed, it’s not clumpy or even grainy. It stirs or shakes into pretty much anything and doesn’t change the liquid’s texture.

Agreed it’s a little bland on its own but it’s one of the very few protein products who’s * sodium content is almost nonexistent, with * no fat, * no refrigeration required, * no cooking needed, * travels well, * at an affordable price. All you need to add is a little creativity! If you want to make a tastier just add a small amount of powdered vegetables which * provides flavor with a * minimal amount of carbs, and often * more nutrients. Or you could try adding lemon or lime juice. I am so very glad I found this because it makes hitting my vital protein macros much easier without adding other calories unnecessarily. Excellent for people on the keto diet or those who are trying to lower their cholesterol due to zero fat content.

Let me start by saying I have been a customer of Bulk Supplements on and off for years. I have purchased several different products from Bulk Supplements in the past. This was my second time purchasing this bone broth from Bulk Supplements, my first time was just two months prior. The first batch I received had little to no smell and a mild flavor. It was easy to drink and a great way to add extra protein to my diet. This most recent bag had a very potent smell immediately upon opening the bag and an awful flavor. I thought I had just received a bad batch so I attempted a return, but that was not an option through amazon so I called the company directly. The customer service representative told me that they change suppliers and depending on which supplier they use, the product will have varying color, odor, and flavor. I explained to her that this bag is nothing like the previous one and completely inedible. She told me that I can return the product but I will only be refunded the amount of the smallest serving they sell for this product. So even though I bought the 2.2 pound bag for $37, because it was an open bag, I would only be refunded the amount for the 3.5oz bag, $14. This was extremely disappointing for me because I really enjoyed the first bag. Since this product is so inconsistent I will not be purchasing it again, it to too much of a gamble. Now I understand why the reviews for this product are so varied, sometimes the broth is just fine to drink, sometimes it'll make your stomach churn. Unfortunately Bulk Supplements just lost a customer.

I read reviews that said it ruined coffee so I drank two cups dissolved in hot water as broth it was extremely mild flavor to completely flavorless. So I put it in my cage Vienna flavored coffee and don’t taste it at all. Good stuff overall only just started use so have to update on that end but did help to improve a head cold I’m recovering from after traveling.

Smells and tastes disgusting. But at least if I ever get stuck in a survival situation and have to drink my own urine, it won't seem as bad!

Great product I like it

Uhh, this stuff seems totally nutritionally excellent, but damn the taste is bad. The only way I could drink it was mixed into ready to use liquid bone broth with salt and spices added. And even then, the bad smell and taste were there, but I forced myself to choke it down. I'm not usually one to complain about taste. I did finish the bag, then tried a similar product that cost a bit more, which doesn't taste great but slightly better.

Freaking amazing, I put two serving sizes/6 tablespoons in a hot mug of water, with a little sea salt/olive oil oil, Italian seasoning an it’s a perfect before bedtime bone broth soup like old-school Lipton soup an it feels amazing. Gave me a great nights rest.
