**Q: Is there any silicone or plastic that touches the boiling water in this kettle? (Especially around the temp gauge needle at the bottom)**
A: No. All metal

**Q: how cordless**
A: the kettle itself lifts from the base making it cordless. The bottom stays cool so you can set it down on any surface without fear of burning said surface. The Base however is where the cord is. It's as wide as the kettle but pretty thin, about a 1/4 inch thick.

**Q: So, where do we go to get a repair electrical module for the bottom of the kettle?  Mine won't stay on, shts off after 2 seconds, hardly a year old!!**
A: Contact Cuisinart. They have been very proactive when I have had a problem with my coffee maker.

**Q: Does the handle for the electric kettle come in black or grey?**
A: That is where the strainer connects.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great and is Simple

Easy to use, not complicated. Put the kettle on to set temp and start. 5F increments, which is precise enough, and it remembers the last setting. 1 L of water can get a little heavy for slow pours, but the handle is comfortable. Maybe could be a little more weight balanced especially when full of water, but would probably end up heavier and more expensive. Heats quick, gooseneck is easy to control pour. The spout is kinda stuck on the side of the carafe so it's hard to get ALL the water out but it's little enough to still dry with the lid off after. The carafe sides get warm, but the bottom, lid, and handle are cool. Beeps are a little on the loud side, wish there was a low volume setting. There is a little pin inside the bottom, presumably the thermal sensor, just be aware when cleaning.
