Best to put on in small dabs first, and rub in. If you put too much on, it's hard to get the whiteness to go away, especially if you have a darker complexion. Also, I found that even if I did a good job of rubbing it in and it was invisible at first, if you sweat and have darker skin, it will turn a little white. Again, especially if you put a lot on. **Q: Is this reef safe?** A: I don’t use it for ocean or beach use, but it does work in keeping you in the hot sun 3 to 4 in the mountains and deserts. I have found other 100+ spf sunscreen products to not work as well that were reef free. **Q: Does this sunscreen go on before or after moisturizer?** A: Non-mineral sunscreens like this should be applied before a moisturizer.
