My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel uses this and we have had no fleas or ticks all summer. No skin reaction to the topical solution. It stays a bit oily feeling and you can smell it for a couple of days, but it fades away and coat feels normal.

I take care of rescued dogs and this product works wonderfully on fleas.

Helps keep fleas off my little dog and it's easy to use after his bath. We live where there are squirrels and who knows what critters they carry! We have used these on all our dogs and used the cat version when we had cats.

In my region, where tick-borne diseases are a significant concern, I opted for monthly pills with a prescription from my vet. The decision to switch to a different product was based on the need for comprehensive protection, especially considering the potential health risks associated with tick bites. While Advantage II may be suitable for areas where ticks are less prevalent, it didn't align with my dog's specific health requirements. In conclusion, if you're primarily dealing with flea prevention and live in an area where ticks are not a major concern, Advantage II could be a convenient option. After years of using Fronline Plus purchased from our vet, our indoor animals became infested with fleas. Upon my vets recommendation I began treating our 3 cats and wiener dog with the Frontline every 3 weeks, vacuuming our hard wood floors twice a day with the Shop Vac, spending hundreds on chemicals for the yard, furniture and house and treating the animals weekly with Capstar....they STILL had fleas!!!! Out of desperation, I ordered the Advantage II. I really did not expect it to make any difference, as our vet had told us that Frontline was the most effective product available for the treatment of fleas. Within 24 hours of applying the Advantage II, I could not find a single flea on any of our pets. I am so mad at myself for spending all of the money I did on stuff that did not work. We have been using Advantage II for a couple of years now and it still continues to work as effectively as it did the first time. I have recommended it to all of my friends with pets. I'm not sure if it is a geographic thing, maybe the fleas in this area (KS) have developed a resistance to the Frontline?
