what is the expiration or the shelf life please?

I just got some end of January 2023 and the best by date on it is 11/22/24.

yes, it is a powder and I would consider it on the fine side. When I pour it, there is a tiny bit of powder dust if you do it too fast.

If you have tried this with Maria Emmerich's protein sparing bread recipe, did it work successfully? Thanks.

I haven't tried that particular recipe, but do use these egg whites in Keto rolls (almond flour, psyllium, vinegar, b.p. & whites) It works very well.

Does it have a taste by itself?

I’ve only used this in recipes. I’ve smelled it, no strong smell at all. I don’t think it has much (or any) taste in its own; you can use this product in any recipe or protein drink without any problem.
