He came home from the hospital with a diaper rash (Nurses told me not to use anything- so much for that :-( ) so I started using the Desitin with a dusting of cornstarch baby powder on top and it was healed within a day. Now, we use it as a preventative thing at each diaper change again with the powder. At night (he sleeps through) I do a dusting of powder, then Desitin, and then powder again and he has not once had a red bottom despite being in a soaked diaper for 8-10 hours! It has ever so slight of a fishy odor but it doesn't bother me... he still smells baby fresh. I didn't even notice it until my husband pointed it out actually.
