FEATURES: - Waterproof & Breathable - Brass 2-way Zipper - Large Zip Chest Pockets - Dual Entry Hip Pockets - Inside Security Pocket - Concealment Pocket - Cotton Lining - Poly-Taffeta Lined Below Waist and inside sleeves Review: Warmer than you would think, this isn't just a light jacket. - I was hesitant to spend so much on a jacket, but I am so very glad I did. It's really more than just a jacket, it does have some insulation, and since it truly is wind and waterproof it keeps me surprisingly warm. Well made, and has plenty of pockets that are well thought out for placement and use. Fit was good as well, I bought my normal size and can still layer underneath when it gets really cold, but don't feel like I'm swimming in it when I wear it alone. By itself, it keeps me plenty warm down to around 30F, add a quality thick flannel shirt and I'm good to around 20F, a light fleece takes it into the single digit temps. Blocking the wind really helps more than you would think. This is the most I've ever spent on a jacket/coat, and it was worth every penny. Well made and should last me a long time. I'm 52 now, I expect this will last the rest of my life. Buy quality stuff and you only cry once. Note - you will need to re-proof it from time to time. The extra work is worth it though. Review: Great coat - Good quality; fit is true to size. Comfortable and warm. Great sturdy double zippers o you can wear it unzip from the bottom and sit down in a vehicle comfortably. Highly recommend

Quality product. Sizing is a bit 'iffy'
A very nice wax jacket. and my preference over a similar Barbour product. I had one of the originals back in the 1980's, that lasted me 20 years before I threw it out. This one seems to be of similar quility, time will tell. Two things to note. The two way zipper: In my experience, two way zippers usually end up causing more grief than they're worth, by overtime, causing the material at the start of the zip to fray and fail. The sizing: I'm 6ft 2 and weigh 184 lb. I originally ordered a size large. The sleeves were too short, and although it fit me well enough with just a tee shirt underneith, movement became very restricted once I added a couple of warm layers, this is a cold weather jacket after all, and advertised as a hunting jacket, so the size should account for extra layers, and the need for freedom of movement, to be able to quickly mount a rifle when the opportunity for a shot presents itself. I returned the L and ordered a size XL. The sleeves are the correct length, and it is easily allows me to wear a couple of extra layers. It solves the freedom of movement issue too. If anything, I'd say it was a little too big, but I guess it's just my build. Better a little too large than too small right. Overall, I think I'm gonna be please with this jacket. Be interesting to see how it beds in a feels after a season in the woods.

Excellent quality
Impressed with the quality, and features ,(hem snaps for horseback or riding an ATV) lots of big pockets, I ordered XL with the intention of heavy layering underneath, (like puffer or aran sweater) I am 6'1 200 lbs 45" chest 34" waist the sizing is perfect for my intended purpose.

Excellent Coat - It will keep you dry
Thirty years ago I bought a duster from this Company. The coat served me very well until I out grew it. This coat is lined and is quite warm for the Texas winters. I am 6'-3" with a 36" arm. I am 320lbs and the 3xl is a little snug. If they made a 4xl it would be perfect. (I will loose the 2020 weight). The conceal pocket is large enough for a 5.5" w/ comp barrel tool and holster. I does not print when I have the tool and its accessories. The chest pockets can fit a full size phone (Samsung A71). The Hip pockets are warm and waterproof. Do not leave the flap open in a rain storm. It will fill up but the inside of the coat will be dry. This coat also did not have the strong oil smell as my old one use too have. This coat looks good for urban areas and would server you well working the Ranch.

Deer Hunter- Incredibly well made heavy winter jacket. A tough and great looking jacket.
I ordered the Swagman jacket first, but have reservations about the looks with the cape, so I decided to give this Deer Hunter jacket a try as an alternative. It's a great looking, comfortable, rugged, and utilitarian jacket. I'm very impressed with the manufacturing quality (although I haven't put any wear and tear on it yet). Zippers, snaps, collar, pockets...all heavy and well made. Its a much heavier jacket than the Swagman. This jacket would be more than comfortable through all but the very worst of our Southern New England weather. I would happily wear this out on a 15°F day. I'm going to guess it may be too warm for anything over 45° or 50° or so, though. Im 6'2", 255lbs. The XXL feels very, very slightly large, but this may actually be perfect for this jacket. I love it...I have a feeling I'm going to be very happy with this jacket for a long time.

Insanely Well Made Product at an Awesome Price, (and True to Size)
Outback Trading makes some of the nicest outerwear you can find these days. Prices are fantastic for the quality you receive. One thing that I will say about sizing is, for me, it was true to size. As such, I ordered a large and had to return it for an XL. Seemed the size chart as well as other reviews made this particular jacket as being huge. I found that not the case for me. Also, another reviewer was complaining about plastic zippers. I'm not sure what they ordered because the Deer Hunter does, in fact, come with some heavy duty brass zippers that should last a lifetime. If you've never purchased oilskin before, don't worry. These aren't greasy or oily, they don't stain everything they touch, and the don't smell of some kind of chemical. I've owned many oilskins over the years, and this was my first purchase of Outback Trading's offerings. I'm sold. By far the best quality you'll find, and can't beat the price. These types of garments do require occasional re-waterproofing, but you're in a different realm than most clothing these days. These things are made to last you 20-30 years.
