Receivers? What receivers? The device is a network receiver itself. You use it to receive network in device like computer or laptops that they don't have wireless network antennas. It is easy to setup. Most of the times it is plug and play. However still you can download the drivers is needed or install them from the CD provided.

Can I connect this on our wifi router directly after downloading its drivers from the pc?

Yes you can. Should you need to use it on another system, you’ll have to download the drivers on the new system again. After that it is plug and play.
