Ailun Paper Screen Protector for iPad Air 10.9 Inch,iPad Pro 11 Inch

I love the screen protector kits from this company. I will admit not all of them come with 100% of the kit but this one did. 2 screens, 2 wet wipes, a dry microfiber cloth, a squeegee, and the applicator clip that goes into the charging port. The cover gives exactly the desired paper-like surface and is very easy to apply with the tools given. These screens have never failed me before and I expect this one will last as long as I need. I will update if I notice any failures.

I purchased this textured screen protector for my iPad Air 5 (2022) in part because it was so cheap and in part because it came with a lot of installation tools to help position the protector on the device, clean the device, and apply the protector and push out the air bubbles. After I got the protector, I also appreciated how thin it is (much thinner than tempered glass). This protector has a unique feel to the finger that you will have to get used to. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked it. However, now I prefer it. I particularly like how little oils transfer and how un-sticky (if not smooth) the experience is. Of course, the texture is best on the pencil where it really feels like paper. It also SOUNDS like paper, which will be very noticeable to you if you are in a quiet space, but that sound is easy to tone out if there is any background noise. The feedback from the touch makes my writing a little cleaner (the pencil doesn't slip and/or doesn't require me to apply so much pressure to prevent slipping). My only real complaint about the texture is that it might pick up dust a little more than a normal screen protector. I would not recommend using the screen protector without a case that has a top that snaps closed above the tablet. If you insert the tablet into a pocket, the screen protector might pick up more dust than a glass screen protector. The screen protector does not seem to affect the color, but it does add a bit of graininess when you are looking at solid white backgrounds. That effectively reduces the resolution of the screen by blurring or obscuring fine-grained details. So if you want to watch high-resolution media with your tablet, you might want to consider one of the paper-like screens that is magnetic and snaps on and off. But if you primarily use your tablet for writing/drawing, then this may be a great product for you. And, at the current price, it's a great deal to try if you're curious but not sure if you want to commit. Other more expensive protectors don't have tools to help you position it. The tools that come with this protector make it MUCH easier to install. One caveat about the tool that snaps on the bottom. It will be most easiest to install your screen protector so that it is right up against the very bottom of the screen. That will be problematic if you put your tablet into a case that has a slight lip. With that in mind, I recommend pulling slightly in the direction of the top of the tablet before you adhere the protector down onto the glass. That will help center the screen protector vertically. The screen protector is small enough to have a small buffer around its edge all around the tablet, which will help provide enough room for a case lip (although you may still want to consider using a Dremel on such lips to give yourself even more room).

Installation was pretty easy. Just make sure to be patient and read the instructions. It came out incredibly and I really like the paper feel. It feels excellent when taking notes and looks great when reading textbooks.

Picked this up for an iPad Pro thinking the paper-like texture would be a win, especially for drawing and general use. In practice, it didn’t land well in our house. My sons immediately didn’t like the feel—it adds a noticeable drag that’s supposed to mimic paper, but to them it just felt off and a bit scratchy. Installation went fine, but after a short period of normal use, one corner started lifting. Once that happens, it’s pretty much downhill from there with dust and bubbles creeping in. It does what it claims in terms of texture, but that texture isn’t for everyone, and the durability didn’t inspire much confidence for long-term use. Might work for a very specific user, but it wasn’t a fit for us.

I have used Ailun screen protectors for phones, cameras, and iPads. They are excellent and easy to install at a great price! I was pleased to see Ailun has textured Screen Protectors for iPad which I need for drawing. I had purchased one of the expensive versions but didn't like it, so I tried Ailun. The installation was easy and so far I like the feel and look of this screen... I have just one suggestion about the packaging. I removed everything from the box that came out easily. There was a plastic piece that I assumed was the Locator but it had no plug for the charge port. I looked in the box and tapped hard but nothing else came out. Then I looked closely into the side pocket where I could barely see something and it was so wedged in that I had to use a long stick to push it out. I almost thought the part was missing. This should be improved in the packaging.

I ended up getting a refund from amazon for this. Item seemed previously opened. Sure enough a key tool needed for easy installation was missing, making it a butt to put on. I would have given it 2 or 3 stars if it were easier to apply. The screen protector itself is a little rougher/ grittier than my older ‘paper- like” screen protector. Its feels less smooth to write with it vs my older one 24 hr update: It completely wore out my apple pencil’s tip. This is after i had just put on a new one so my old worn out tip wouldn’t scratch the new screen protector. The pencil was essentially worn down in a day of vigorous note taking but the screen protector looks fine. With my older paperlike screen protector, the apple pencil’s tip lasted me anywhere from 6- 12 months. For that reason alone I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this screen protector. Two thumbs down

I love this brand for my other devices, so when I saw they had a matte one for the iPad I was thrilled because I had been looking for one. I use it for digital drawing on my iPad so it gives more of the texture of drawing on paper since drawing on glass is too smooth/slippery. Great quality and has held up well too.

I was forced to put this protector on the iPad the old fashion way because the attachment tool that came in the package didn’t match the instructions and had no way of attaching to the charging port. I need to peal off the screen protector and carefully position it on the screen and then push out the majority of the air bubbles with the tool that came to do this. I will live with the few small bubbles that won’t push out as the low price makes these issues acceptable. Note that the package comes with 2 protectors. I tested writing on the protector with my Apple Pencil and there is a definite improvement over writing directly on the screen. The photo below shows the attachment tool. There is nothing to insert into the charging port or to position the screen application layer to for easier installation. If this item cost more, the review wouldn’t rate a 3 stars.

I love the texture, but some people might not. It really does feel like hard paper, excellent for drawing on and feeling resistance in general. I really like it, I am sure it is designed for the Apple pencil which we haven't done yet, but I think when the kids are ready to start drawing on the iPad that is what we will do

Primero compre mica para mi teléfono mate y me encantó! Por eso compré estas! Viene con todo el kit para ponerla, te manda incluso un video para guiarte. Es complicado saber cuál es la mica jajaja pero cuando la encuentras es súper fácil ponerla. ME ENCANTÓ! se siente como papel la pantalla pero me sirve mucho porque yo hago apuntes.

La calidad de la mica es muy buena y me gusto mucho que venga con todo su lot de instalación. Súper recomendado
