What were they thinking?
Loses a huge two stars due to an amazing fail with the camera attaching screw (YES, singular). All the way to the camera interface, this is pretty impressive for the price point, BUT when it comes to attaching the camera to the plate, the **single**, knurled knob that we are given to attach our camera is wholly, totally inadequate, spectacularly poor. 'Inadequate' doesn't come close. All there is showing above the plate is maybe two thread widths. And this has to secure a camera that could well cost thousand. What on earth were Glide Gear thinking? This has to go to work tomorrow so there's nothing I can do now, but I will be re engineering this in order to get the camera securely fixed on the plate. Seriously, this just needs the standard 1/4 and 3/8th style options given on most camera bases, with adequate space between the head and thread so that TWO screws could slide easily and give a reasonable amount of thread to secure our precious cameras effectively.. Try again, Glide Gear, it's a fantastic bit of kit let down dreadfully by a catastrophic, easily fixed engineering fail.

Poor quality and badly designed.
Glide Gear TMP 750 Professional I needed a teleprompter for a couple of jobs and chose this one because I needed something that would accommodate an ipad pro and wanted to spend more on something well made. While it does take an ipad pro it is let down badly by the design and quality of engineering. The design isn't well thought out, requiring you to assemble the unit from a lot of individual components and then at the end of the shoot it all has to be broken down into all the individual components to go back in to the case. All of the careful adjusting and setting up has to be repeated each time the unit is assembled. The individual components are badly made and of poor tolerance, anything with a clamp requires significant over tightening to hold in place. The zips are flimsy and don't give any confidence that will last more than a couple of uses. The Velcro surround to the class is already pulling away after one session of testing. One of the other reasons I purchased this item was the hard case. Be aware that the catches barely fasten and could easily allow the contents to fall out. If you can assemble the teleprompter and then leave it set up it will probably last you a while and do an OK job but any of the cheaper £100 teleprompters will do the same job for less than half the money. If you want something you can pack up and take on location for regular use then look somewhere else. I would be returning this but I have had to modify the minimal mounting screw to hold my camera securely as the standard mounting is woeful. I would be happy to discuss the shortcomings the TMP750 has if somebody from Glide Gear would like to get in touch.

The portrait prompter nobody asked for
The dimensions of the glass are in portrait! If the glass were 12" by 11" it would accommodate a 17" portable monitor. As it is, the sides are cropped off and there's loads of space at the top. It makes absolutely no sense. every other prompter on the market is in landscape FOR A REASON!

Fiddly Build, Not stable
Not totally terrible for the price point, but it really isn't built well enough. I used it with a BMPCC 4K and there's so much play in the construction that your horizon goes off easily. I only bought this as I had used a cheaper model from the same company with my BMPCC 4K and that was sturdy, I expected the same from this but the cheaper one requires less assembly and there for less moving parts means more stability. Too fiddly to build as well. Not very impressed

Wahnsinn!

Great product works as expected
Fabulous product for the price, only issue is once you put together it won't fit in the carry case unless you totally disassemble the unit, I have the camera base set up and keep it seperate from the carry case as easier than setting up from scratch each time.. No big deal but.. Certainly would recommend this product however.

Big, versatile, valuable teleprompter
So good, we bought two! This mid-range teleprompter is not without it's problems, but it's a great value and extremely versatile. PROS: - Big glass - Rigid hood - Flexible camera and device mounting options - Great accessories for mounting more tools - Easier to balance (if you need that) than most fixed teleprompters CONS: - The case is just bad; throw it away and pack the item is something else (it should be noted that the case *does* have pins that help lock it and keep the flimsy plastic in place...but do not use this case to pack in a production truck or ship; it will not hold up). - The glass angle can be adjusted, but there is no stop to keep it from falling into the device holders. Move with care or you will crack the glass if it drops! - The unit takes a while to setup properly. - The documentation isn't horrible, but it isn't great...this shouldn't be a problem for anyone used to working with similar systems. - Not gonna work with wide angles as the tablet is very close to the glass. Alrighty, so unlike some teleprompters, this one has a lot of versatility, but that makes it more complicated. Be prepared to spend a bit of time setting it up and balancing. I've gone through several teleprompters over the years for various companies and projects. This one has the biggest glass in the sort of mid-range prompters, which makes it work with big screens, like an iPad Pro. The standard rails is also nice because in addition to the included mounting accessories, many other "cheese plate" and rail systems are compatible. The unit works great for DSLRs and small cameras. I'd be concerned about placing a very large camcorder on it (like the picture shows) due to the long rails stressing under weight. The versatile height for camera mount and thumb-screw components are great for a range of equipment and (mostly) easy setup and tear-down.

Good value and works well.
I unpacked my new GlideGear TMP 750 17" Teleprompter and was pleased to see the good amount of preformed styrofoam that holds it all in place inside the plastic travel case. Some of the pieces were initially hard to identify, but using the manual pictures I managed a complete assembly in about 10 minutes. I think it might make it easier if they had some more specific part identification as I'm not 100% sure I put it together correctly. My tripod is pretty lightweight and the teleprompter is pretty beefy, so I'm going to have to get a tripod that is sturdier as the unit rocks a bit back and forth once assembled. I tried it out with an iPhone as the script source and a webcam as the camera and it works just great. The video is clear with no indication that its shooting through the beam splitter. I appreciate the fact that the unit is highly adjustable and can be made to work with a seemingly wide array of cameras and script sources. When I packed it all up, I did have a lot of trouble figuring out how to get it back into the case and I really wish I had taken pictures. Nonetheless I recommend this unit! Its good value for the price.

Best customer service , awesome product!
I have to say I was kind of reluctant to spend money on teleprompter but then after research decided to go with Glide Gear in medium level investment. There were lot of cheaper options but I thought known and established companies may be more supportive of their products in the long run and I wasn’t wrong about Glide Gear. There was problem with the cover and I reached out to them and it took one line respond to resolve the issue without any badgering, asking proofs and unnecessary negotiations. Within few days I got a replacement. I will never forget the easiest communication, most quick resolve, respectfulness in timely responding and as promised the solution without hassle. Glide Gear you got a loyal customer for life. I also want to mention, the teleprompter ( Glide Gear 750 )is one of the great product in its class. The structure is sturdy, glass is high quality, the reflections are minimal and the camera mount is good quality and sturdy. The cover could be bit upgraded but still better than few other expensive teleprompters. All in all,I feel it’s good investment. Good luck with your teleprompting. :)
