Good solid lighted replacement to save a good extension cord
After several years of hard use in all kinds of weather and maybe being run over, the female end of my good extension cord broke and exposed the contacts -- not a good thing to have happen. It was a heavy duty 12 gauge extension cord so I ordered this 20 Amp lighted connector to replace it. In case you are not certain which wire to connect to which contact, there is an accurate diagram supplied. The connector has a strip gauge built in so you know how much wire to have exposed. It is well constructed and securing the three wires was pretty easy and the result is a safe, working, extension cord once again.

Worked Well
Worked very well to replace a damaged outlet end. Made of rugged nylon so it's durable. Make sure to have a very well fitting Philipps screwdriver to tighten the screws. Not waterproof but certainly weather resistant. A little more expensive than other options but I think it's worth it.

Worth the money and works as described.
Seems to be a quality product at a good price. The color coded screws and slide in leads is a nice feature. No wrapping wire around a screw. Although it says for #10-18 wire, 10/3 is a very tight fit for both the wire ferulles and the cable clamp. I used an adhesive sealant around the wires and the clamp to improve resistance to water intrusion for outdoor use. I've had no problem with the LED so far.

Easily fits my 12Ga Ridgid extension cord, and plug connection is very grippy
The original plug on my extension cord was rated for 15a (and silly me, buying the 12ga cord, thought they'd have stouter plugs). Well, so the original socket on the extension cord got all toasty and spat the white smoke, but this new plug made an excellent conversion for my extension cord to be able to actually handle the amps now. I love how grippy the plug is, and the product has an all-around well-thought and designed feel to it. The only thing I find minorly disconcerting is the holes retaining the face and rear end of the plug together- they have an extremely aggressive thread pitch, making me feel like they're just plastic screws, and I'd suspect that would be the first failure point years down the road (or if the shop-gorilla hams on them while installing). I see how grippy the plug is, and how satisfying the connection system is as worth it though, for this minor setback. If the manufacturer ends up reading my post though- I'd love if you changed manufacturing methods to instead use threaded brass inserts in lieu of the plastic-screws.

The Phillips head of the Screws stripped
The Phillips head of the screws holding the unit together stripped because the whole it threads into is too tight. Now I cannot finish assembling the unit because I cannot get a good grip on the screws. This is garbage.

20A Illuminated End
I've used these a few times now to plug power into flanged inlets. They work great and fit well into the inlets. I like that I can see them illuminated to know there is power at the plug. Our local EMS depend on them to keep their ambulances charged when parked in the station. Solid product for what I have used them for.
