i’ve had this camera for about 2 1/2 weeks now I’ve been able to use it in several baseball games and a basketball game. This is a great update from my T7. Photo quality is great. Camera works awesome now just to upgrade to a better lens the kit lens works good for regular pictures and I bought an aftermarket Sigma lens that works great too, but need a better zoom lens overall satisfied with my purchase.

Hopefully you know what you are getting with this camera. Mine shipped with the updated firmware which allows for 4k video at 29.95 frame rate - something only previously open to the r6 and higher end professional cameras. There are tons of great video's on how to quickly setup the camera and explanations of the different features. This is not considered a "Professional" camera - but it really does come close. As long as you have some decent 2.8f or better glass - you can do just about anything with the 90d. My last camera was a T5i - and the 90d is a huge step up. The standard lens included with the box set is okay I guess. I don't plan to use it all that much. The microphone is actually really good. It does help a lot to use an external sound recorder - I use a Tascam 701. One really nice feature of the Canon EOS 90d I did not know about is the HDMI output to my Tascam 701 does include a Time Code Sync to match the external audio to the recorded video. This is a REALLY nice feature especially if you record a lot of video. It saves a load of time when editing in Premiere or any other video post production.

Excellent camera kit, good all round performance at a very good price. Easy to use for the beginner or those taking photos professionally.

I laboured quick a bit over staying with a DSLR or making the jump to mirrorless. The 90D is supposed to be the DSLR version of the mirrorless R6 and it is a very capable DSLR. Quick and easy to use, the 90D is a great recreational camera; a little on the bulky side, but I have been known to be a tad hard on equipment, so could end up being a better bet than the R6. First 100 shots were good.
