Perfect for bees
This very simple looking small bird bath is very effective. It is striated so bees can drink without falling in and drowning. Squirrels and chipmunks love it. I wish it wasn't white. Really sticks out in the garden but otherwise, love it.

Chippy paint.
Paint chips off. Not good for birds.

All the wildlife love it; squirrels nibble on it
I'm very pleased with this little bird bath. I git it to set up outside my window at work and I've seen all sorts of wildlife come to drink from it! Ducks, songbirds, a couple of squirrels, a magpie. I've even seen a couple of bees drink from it. I was initially concerned that the birds would be too heavy because if the small pedestal/foot it has but its proven to be sturdier than expected. Only when the ducks actually walk through it and step on the edge does it actually unbalance and spill water. It holds about the amount of a 24oz/750ml water bottle which makes it easy to fill it back up since I don't have access to a hose at work. Overall, very pleased with it. Update 6/18/2021: I've had this out for several months now, all my animals still love it. I even have a tiny, wild bunny that appears from somewhere occasionally. The only thing really of note is that the squirrels have taken to gnawing on the edges of the bath after taking a drink. I'm not sure why.

UPDATE: Not recommended.
Used only since late March or early April 2022, but by July, the surface had nicks in several places. Not only looks ugh -- and for a pricey, very small bird bath or watering place -- but it's made from something artificial and coated with something artificial, so I'm no longer sure it's safe for birds. Besides, this entire year, I've since one bird at it and only one time (a crow) and no bees or butterflies or small birds. However, a neighbor's cat has interfered intermittently, which might be why. Original headline (5 stars): Seems just right for butterflies, bees, small birds -- if you have a stable place for it. The color is what is sometimes called "celery" or light sage green, not beige as in the photo. It's a nice light, soft grayish-green color. It is a bit heavier than I expected, which is good, because I'm putting it where two railings meet at a right angle. It's a great size for that, but I'll need to either use strategically place nails or rig a base from chicken wire held down by small fence staples to make it less likely to be blown off by a strong wind or tipped by a bigger bird. Last year, 2021, we had a "heat dome" for a week or so in the summer where I live in Washington, on the Strait of Juan de Fuca that is the US / Canadian border. Normally, we say "summer is the second week of August here," meaning that's the only time it ever gets into even the low '80s. Last year, it was 99, even up to 104 some places in the Pacific Northwest. Because the climate is so mild, few of us have air conditioning, and the wildlife certainly isn't used to such heat waves. The bees, especially, tried so hard to find water that they could drink without falling into it. I lifted a few out who were near drowning but one did, because I didn't see him when he was in trouble. I tried shallow kitchen items with flat rocks, but they didn't even approach those. So I'm hoping the shallowness of this yet the larger size plus the rims around the inside of the bowl will make them feel safe and keep them safe this summer. PLUS: It's made from recycled bamboo and recycled plastics, so that's a good thing, too. TIP to SAVE MONEY: At $50, it is truly overpriced. Some who buy it grouse that it's just 12" across, but the description clearly states that and the depth. So I checked often and waited until one of those people returned one and I got an Amazon Warehouse "Like New" price, and it is -- for $12 less. Just scroll down on the R side and look for Used options. Make sure it comes from Amazon Warehouse, though, because they'll take it back and some other sellers send items that aren't in the condition that the listing says. If you're not going to eat it, returned items sold by Amazon Warehouse are smarter buys than full-price, nearly always. Plus, you're keeping things out of landfills.

Small basin
I was lazy and did not use a tape to check the size. It is smaller than I thought but it is well designed and serves its small but useful purpose.

Small but very cute, easy to clean and bees and moths love it
I love this. It is small, about the diameter of a round dinner plate with "steps" radiating down into the bowl. You could place it on a small outdoor table, in a nook, or next to a potted plant or bush. Smaller yard creatures (moths, butterflies, bees) love it and it's nice to be able to offer water. It's very easy to clean.

Disappointed
We really love the design of this birdbath. The stepped sides and shallow bottom are perfect for birds and the occasional bee or butterfly that wants to get a drink without risking drowning. Unfortunately this birdbath is not made to last. We actually bought two and have had them out for just under 30 days. They both are beginning to flake off the finish and this is not a good thing for the health of our birds. Not to mention it isn’t going to look good over time considering it’s already happening a month into use. The birds liked them both but we will have to return them.

Love this addition to front garden
I bought this for bees due to the steps and shallow depth. I discovered the birds that live in our front shrubs love it. One day a chipmunk ran across it into the shrub - then it stopped, realized what it had just felt on its feet, and returned to drink. So cute. I’ve had it for almost a year and it’s like new.
