A Most Excellent Product!
I'm a long-time neti pot user. A friend of mine who is a doctor recommended I use one to help with my year-around allergies. The problem with using a neti pot is that it can be slow and if you're congested or blocked up with lots of mucous, the neti pot just won't work since gravity alone does not provide enough force to push the solution through the mucous and swollen membranes in your nose and sinuses. I stumbled across the SinuCleanse while looking for the replacement saline packets for my neti pot. I thought I'd give it a try because it does not require using distilled water which, for me, was a big hassle. According to the manufacturer, the built-in filter meets CDC recommendations for nasal washing with tap water. It is so much more convenient than the neti pot. This is a fantastic device and I can say it has improved the quality of my life by greatly reducing or often completely eliminating my allergy symptoms by using this once or twice a day. I will also use it an extra time after I've been mowing the lawn, gardening, working where it is dusty etc. With the flexible bottle this device uses, it allows you to use just the right amount of pressure to provide for a comfortable cleansing of the nose and sinuses. I also use this device when I get a cold and can say that it has reduced the length of illness and severity of symptoms. I will use the SinuCleanse more often when I have a cold. I have also found that in the several years I have been using a neti pot or this device that I have gotten fewer colds. I could be a salesman for SinuCleanse or neti pots and may sound like one from the preceding review, but nasal irrigation has worked very well for me by significantly reducing my allergy and cold symptoms.

Great price for a great product that does what it claims to do. Filter provides POM.
Really appreciate the filter built into this unit. When traveling, there are times where I don't always have access to highly pure water and this gives some peace of mind when using bottled water or even tap water on occasion. I replace this bottle and filter annually and this product is reasonably priced, high quality and arrives quickly. Definitely helps keep my breathing and sinuses in good shape. It's small enough to easily pack in an overnight bag. The included saline packs are not my favorite but are effective. Purchasing the saline packs with Xylitol made a huge difference for me.

Revised review
Used it about 10 times before the tiny air valve popped out and disappeared. Sprays water everywhere now. I found the air valve, put it back in place, and the unit has worked fine since then. I realized that I was squeezing much harder than necessary, which resulted in the valve popping out. I’ve revised my 1 star review to 4 stars. I have found nasal flushing to be effective in preventing infection on the several occasions that I have been exposed to irresponsible people coughing harshly. I’m more comfortable not wearing a mask in public venues now. Flushing is a no-brainer for me - easy to do and I just use a teaspoon of inexpensive sea salt each time, so virtually no expense.

So amazing! Where has this been all my life!
It works it truly works! I suffer from bad allergy attacks where my whole face tightens up, I get sneezing fits, watery eyes all of that daily. After only a week this has already made a huge difference on the itchy nose!! Ok so, here is some advice b/c the first time I used it was a bit jarring. I have never used a netty pot before so i didnt know what to expect. There is a instinctive tendency to want to hold your breath when you do it the first time, DONT DO THAT!!! You will get a mouth full of salt water to the throat that causes some pretty unpleasant gagging and choking. The second time was better and the 3rd time I had the technique down. So, you want to take deep breaths in and out the entire time, just focus on your breathing and squeeze!! breathing keeps your wind pipe open and blocks the nasal cavity which is very important for a clean and effective rinse. Dont hold your breath or try at all to breath through your nose at all, its a bit awkward at first but you get the hang of it after 2 or 3 tries. I now use it daily in the shower each morning, the hot water & stream plus this rinse seems to be the best way to clear my passageways and to start my day. Im only using 1 packet now which feels great, I saw others have mention using 2, I'll give it a try eventually. If you have allergies dont hesitate just buy this now!!!

Repeat buyer
This is a life saver. I never thought I’d use one of these, but I love this. This one has a filter so you can use the water from the sink. It helps during allergy season and when I’ve been out working in the yard.

Really poor design
I had such high hopes for this to eliminate the need for distilled/purified water which was super inconvenient when traveling and costly as the water has doubled in price in the last year. However the awful design becomes apparent the first time you use it. The moment you squeeze the bottle (which requires a substantial amount of effort as the tap water used must pass through a HIGHLY restrictive filter for safety) the pressure valve seen in the picture shoots out and the water goes everywhere! This valve is supposed to provide air back into the bottle for the 2nd, 3rd and more squeezes ... but since it's NOT part of the bottle or glued/bonded to it, the silicon valve instantly shoots out. There is NO fix for this ... I know, I've tried. This is a great idea, just an exceptionally bad design. Clearly, this company doesn't make this because if anyone at that company tried it, they'd have the same results, as anything other that the plug coming out and water going everywhere is impossible. Darn shame ...

Great Concept, but Purchase Elsewhere
I have persistent nerve damage causing parosmia that only sinus rinses help. The concept of this nasal rinse bottle is awesome! I can take it anywhere like on travel and not have to worry about buying jugs of distilled water, etc. The micro filter is effective and the system overall provides great pressure to push the rinse through the sinuses. Be sure to read directions carefully on cleaning and care if buying. However, this particular brand has an issue that I have not experienced with the exact same bottle from chain drugstores. The air gasket (see photo) pops out while squeezing the bottle to do a rinse and the water goes everywhere! My face, the mirror, my clothes, the counter, the wall. It happens about 1 out of every 4 times. It’s pretty messy and inconvenient, especially if wearing a nice outfit about to go somewhere. You could perhaps superglue this piece in if you cannot find it at a pharmacy/convenience store near you, but since I can find them elsewhere in my area I will not purchase from here again. I will also note I got a better price in-store as well.

The allergy system that WORKED for me!
To start off, I just want to mention how my allergies had affected me before and after using this product. My allergies started affecting my daily life after I got my adenoids removed with my tonsils removal late highschool, and every year since my allergies kept progressively getting worse until sneezing was a daily normal routine for me (it doesn't help that I live in the middle of the desert where pollen and allergens are airborne pretty much year round). Initially basic OTC was working until they didn't, and slowly the medication that would do the job would be the most expensive OTC or benadryl which made me very drowsy, so I only used the later as a last resort. I've tried the original Neti pot system in the past, but had no luck with gravity pushing the water through my nose and frustration for relief got the best of me. That was years ago I tried the Neti pot and slowly even the expensive OTC started to not work for my relief. To my surprise this bottle system existed and seemed to be an upgrade to the Neti pot so I tried it as I was desperate for anything to work. To my surprise this product was the solution for me! It's ease of use makes using it hassle free. Because of the filter I can use tap water so getting the correct water temperature for me is as simple as turning the tap, and the anti-backflow maintains the pressure between squeezes so you can go as slowly or as fast as you need to. After using this product I went from my multiple sneezing fits per day to now I rarely get a sneeze, and this is after using the product for months with the same results today! Initially I needed to use the bottle 2 times a day for 2 or 3 days and switched to once a week for a couple weeks. Now I just use it as needed, this product has given me freedom from my allergies, which used to control my life ! If you fight with allergies and you've tried everything like I have I would definitely recommend this product to you!
