Klein Tools 56220 LED Light, Hard Hat Headlamp, Flood and Spot Light Tilts 45 Degrees, Anti-Slip Strap, for Work and Outdoor Hiking, Camping

We bought these headlamps for our construction crew because we wanted to add some night time visibility while working on the highway. We were skeptical that they would attach to the hard hats properly, but were pleasantly surprised. These things stay in the hard hat very well, and give out plenty of light. Great product, especially for the price.

The Silicone strap does hold the lamp on the hard hat and does not slip or become detached. I have now used the head lamp for two nights in a row on construction sites along I-5 and the batteries held up. The on-off button is easy to find and use, the tipping forward mechanism for looking down works and holds where set. I did not test durability or comfort E.G. I didn't drop my hard hat and the light was attached to the hard hat, not my head.

This lamp has been fantastic for staying in place on a hard hat without any modifications. It is very bright and have been the go to headlamp on the job. The only downside for me personally is that I have a hard time pushing in the soft panel to turn it on. I have arthritis and it is difficult to apply a lot of pressure on anything with my hands and fingers. Again, this is only my situation. Others have no issues whatsoever.

I installed this on my hardhat, and the rubber/plastic strap is grippy enough that it holds on without addition of clips or other help. I put it around the circumference right where the lugs for the internal headgear/support clips in. Occasionally I might need to shove the light head itself back downward as it is the only place the unit slips at all. This is also probably due to bumping around and me jiggling it when pushing the on/off button - so I say the grip is not to blame. Only two settings, high and low - which is great. I would be OK with one setting personally. I have had the ones that have 15 settings: Low-Medium-High-Red-Blue-Green and flashing versions of all those. Then you have to push the button 15 times to go from on to off. Very stupid and annoying. Simple=better. Battery life has been very good. Not rechargeable - which suits me perfect. Last thing I need is another cord and the housekeeping of making sure I haven't neglected charging it. Alkaline batteries available everywhere anything is sold ever. Both of these are what is actually important to anyone who has every actually used these for work.

I was very excited to receive this product, as I have some house projects ahead of me where a small, bright flashlight was needed to fit into the space I'll be working. This is perfect! It's incredibly bright, with 2 brightness settings and a tilt feature. The band is wide and comfortable and fit around my head right out of the package, so I didn't have to adjust it. It said it was set to go over a hard hat, so I guess that means I have a large head. :) One thing - be careful when pulling it off if you have long hair - the band acts similar to how a rubber band would in the hair.

Haven't had this for long, but so far it is good quality. Not as bright as other brands but functional and very useful.

My husband needed a headlamp since our cooking grill is not near an outdoor light and it is often after dark when we use it. He tested the headlamp out and is very impressed - the silicone band does not slip and thus the design does not require an extra strap over the top of the head as others do. He was also happy with the ease of use for the switch and the light is significantly bright enough to be able to check for doneness while cooking :) Thumbs up!

This my 3rd one and it's bright! The other feature I like is the rubber strap as it stays situated on my hard hat and has a nice clean look.

Love the way this grips to the hardhat, no more fussing with straps that tear and stretch. I’ve probably owned a dozen or more headlamps and this is my favourite thus far.
