These are exactly what I expect from BIC mechanical pencils: lightweight, dependable, and easy to write with. The lead advances smoothly and doesn’t seem to break constantly with normal pressure. I really like the bright colors because they’re much easier to find in a pencil bag or desk drawer than plain gray pencils. Having a large pack is also great for school or keeping extras around the house. They’re inexpensive enough that I’m not worried if one disappears, but they still write well.

I have been buying these for my grandson since he was allowed to use mechanical pencils in school. This is by far his favorite type and brand. He's now in 7th grade and this is all he uses. His friends all ask to 'borrow' his pencils because they really like the ease of the pencils, the fit in their hands, and that the erasers do not dry out. When they go to erase, the eraser works well and there is no smearing or smudging. The look of the writing is nice. I will continue to buy these, they are a good value in my eyes.

I did not know what to expect with regard to the quality, because my experience with BIC's mechanical pencils has run the gamut from great to dismal. But the price was great for the quantity, and it was worth a try. I am happy to be pleasantly surprised. Especially, oddly enough, with the quality of the erasers, which actually erase! (not a given when it comes to disposable mechanical pencils...). Also, the pencils are easy to write with and the graphite doesn't break as easily as I feared it would. Happily used by school kids. I recommend.

My son loves these for school, Amazon has great sales with these. I’ve bought my high school son a couple of these boxes for the school year and he’s good for the whole year. So when they go on sale I buy them and stack them. You get a lot and the colors are bright and vibrant. They’re old school good quality. Easy to hold and write with.

I’ve already gone through a good chunk of these since I bought them (included a pic to show I’ve really been using them), so I feel pretty solid in my opinion. The writing is smooth, the colors are fun, and they come in clutch when you need backups for school, work, or the kids. But a couple things keep this from being a 5-star buy: — The erasers wear down fast and sometimes leave smudges. — The clips break super easily if you’re someone who likes to hook it to a folder or notebook. Overall, they’re reliable and a great value for the price, but there’s just a little room for improvement. Would still recommend, just don’t expect perfection!
