I bought this for my husband. He has a nice chair in our bedroom that he uses for, reading, TV, snacks, etc. This lamp is ideal. It was very easy to assemble and is versatile in brightnes, adjustability and operation. He loves it.

The lamp is to be used for puzzling, and it works very well. I like the various lighting colors and strengths. It has a slim design so it doesn't stick out in the room. I adjust the levels on the pole but having the remote (which is attached to the lamp) is a nice feature. It is not heavy so it is easy to move around. It lights the puzzle board with no shadows or glare. Also, the height is adjustable which is not a feature easy to find. I think it is well worth the price.

We love this lamp. The remote control is handy. There is a low light level that my husband loves for morning. Other settings make it various levels of brightness, and you can even adjust bright to a more ambient lighting The flexible neck is so helpful for directing the light to where it is needed. I am ordering a second one for the other end of the couch!

You can see my review of this lamp which was true for just under two years. But then the power supply overheated to the point that it shut itself off. Same thing a second time. That's good design. But it was really hot to the touch and could have perhaps ignited something. I'm going to buy a replacement--this time with the 3-year replacement guarantee-- and be careful of everything around the lamp. Added later: In addition, I found that the lamp is somewhat less functional. The remote control on the earlier models had a setting for a very low brightness level that was just right for room background while, for example, watching TV. The lowest brightness now is too bright for that. ****Original review*** This lamp solved a problem of getting enough light to read in a high-ceiling room. It’s bright and you can change the “color” of the light, although not keeping it as bright. The loss of one star was due to the fact that the light section cannot be rotated easily or well. You either have to pick up the lamp—which is awkward—or turning the top half will loosen it and lamp will lower itself. Otherwise a great lamp at a great price.

Product as described. Great value. Easy to assemble. Variable Light settings. Originally bought for a reading light in small space but am currently using as a multi purpose sewing light. ... over my sketching table, cutting area and then swivel to my sewing machine for awesome light and clarity.

I was unexpectly impressed when I put this light together and turned it on and here's why: There were 2 things important to me when I bought the light: 1. Sturdiness 2. Brightness ......but, I got a few surprises as well 1. The light stands straight up, No leaning, no falling over. It's not top heavy like similar products I've had. It's very well engineered. The base is heavy, but the pole is light weight. The screw mechanism is deeper so it has more threading to go deeper into the base, and the wire doesn't come through the base. There is a 5 inch wire that comes out of the pole about 1.5 inches above the base that you plug the power cord into and the fit is tight. 2. Brightness: Don't be fooled by the long, narrow bulb area; the light is quite bright. I have no idea if it will light the whole bedroom, but I don't use it for that. I use it at a table area where I do diamond painting, something similar to paint by number and I feel like I have at least twice the amount of light than I need. I use it all but it's adjustable and I can dim it if I want. The surprises: The height of the pole can be adjusted taller or shorter witht the extension mechanism similar to a shower curtain pole. The control on the pole is an LED touch screen. And finally, although lighweight you can feel the quality of the materials used to make this. The remote works fine. You should, however, read the instructions on how to use it. I would say don't belive the negative reviews for this product but hey, it's a manufactured product and it's possible to get a dud, but I am thrilled with my purchase.

Floor lamp offers lots of light for doing hand stitching while in my recliner. Like the dimmer switch and love that the remote has a magnet that allows it to stick to lamp so it does not get lost. Love the way you can direct the arm to go directly where you need the light. Sturdy, easy to assemble. Impressed. Great light for the money
