I have a rusty flatbed for a pickup. after water-sandblasting for an epoxy primer, the rust film will be thin. how much fertan do i need?

It all depends on how you apply it. Remember, it can be diluted with water.

Applied product per instructions, and there seems to remain a black residue which can transfer to my fingers. Will primer stick?

Does anyone know if this can go over a parkerized finish and not damage it?

I don’t know what a “parkerized finish” is, so I can’t answer your question. I use it on raw iron. It makes a strong coating. I first learned about it from my Brit husband. There’s an old submarine up on the ways in Gosport that is coated with the stuff. It maintains a lovely dull finish thru the years.
