I don't see how they could be removed feasibly without damaging the backing. However I also don't see them hindering putting a frame around mirror. They are only raised off surface by just under a 1/4" i would guesstimate. Obviously depending on frame. In my extensive experience with modifying things, I would recommend buying a framed mirror would be much easier **Q: Can this be mounted with scotch extremely strong mounting tape?🌚** A: There is a special adhesive that comes in a tube (tube is the size of the ones used for caulking and need a special gun for applying it). My contractor used it and then supported the mirror with 2x4s propped against it until it dried overnight. **Q: Can this be mounted horizontally?** A: Yes, it may be hung vertically or horizontally. **Q: Does it hang flush?** A: It would be considered flush.
