Excellent product, works great. arrived well packed and on time. Would recommend this item to anyone that has a need for this type of item.

Under no circumstances should anyone take for granted this variac is wired correctly.Upon first test run I discovered the meter and dial indicator were way off. Connected a volt and amperage meter to the variac so I could recalibrate unit.This is when I discovered the meter was wired incorrectly.Increasing the amperage was good.With the swiper setting at zero the voltage on my meter indicated over 100 volts.I could have received a bad shock or even electrocuted using this variac.A variac is supposed to raise the voltage and amperage together.Thankfully I was using my isolation transformer at the time.

This 10 amp variac variable transformer was bought for Service Glass Company in Huntington WV to make a acrylic and lexan bender I would recommend this product to anyone we have had no trouble with it and it works perfect

Not UL listed. They have wired it backwards. They have the hot and the neutral switched. Very dangerous.

This Variac works "almost as good as expected. The only problem and it's not really a problem, is that the scale does not match the voltage at the higher end of the scale. The meter is not extremely accurate. You should always check actual the voltage with a VOM any way so not a problem. It's easy to use and as well constructed as could be expected. The surrounding case is light duty but how much heavier do you want this thing? It recommend it and will be using for many years to come.
