does this battery have a warranty? I see several "it died after a few months" comments. can you get a replacement if it stops working?

I'm not aware of a battery warranty. I find that the battery seems to last about 2-3 years. Replacement batteries are available on Amazon.

Is the battery original by Phillips?

Yes. What I received was a battery manufactured by Philips.

What is the "Install before" date listed on the battery label?

Hi there, Thank you for your question. The Install Before date shows until when the battery is to be installed. That's 6 years from the date of manufacture. It is not an expiration date. We would recommend to write the date the battery is put into service on the back of the battery. This has not lasted the 4 years that it should

The battery was installed dec 2020 and today has failed and needs replacing

Not reliable! Definitely NOT recommended.

We have had this battery since May 26 it has an expiry date on it for 2031. But it has already run out August 2026 and Phillips won't replace it or refund us and it is outside Amazon's 30 day return policy. So beware when buying this product.

Guarantee?

Purchased 6 batteries for our sites in November 2023, we have had to replace 1 of the batteries this month (February 2025) so for a battery that had a 4 year 'guarantee, that has lasted just 15 months at £175.00 each. However, a small price to pay for soemone's life.

Lors du changement de batterie, l'appareil opère un reset qui est très lent. Bien patienter jusqu'à la fin de la procédure, sinon l'appareil continuera à considérer que la batterie est à remplacer en émettant des bips à intervalles réguliers.

Holy cow, this AED beeps every 10 seconds once the battery goes low! Glad to get this replacement battery, although it’s pricey.
